I am excited to be showing in East Kent Artists’ Open Houses for the first time this year. Although my studio is situated in Dover I am sharing the Deal Trail with some of my SEAS colleagues.
14th/15th, 21st/22nd & 28th/29th October 2017
11am – 5pm (unless stated)
Welcome to East Kent Artists’ Open Houses 2017 or EKOH for short. Now in its 16th year, EKOH has gone from strength to strength with more artists than ever, over 200 spread over 67 houses and studios. We are also delighted to include Margate, Cliftonville and Deal and hope to extend our range around Kent’s Creative Coast.
The artists’ trail gives the public a personal insight into how an artist works within their specialised field. It opens up a wealth of information and interest to pave the way for making new contacts and discovering opportunities for anyone interested in taking up new fields of creativity. The trail is your chance to visit artists in their homes, to speak to them in person about their work and to find out what is happening in your local area. This is a rare opportunity to experience a diverse array of high quality work in a relaxed setting; with so many venues to choose from there should be something for everyone. So, plan your trip and prepare to be inspired and surprised.
All houses are open weekends during the festival.
In just under two weeks time, artists across Deal and Walmer will throw open the doors to their studios, houses and venues, welcoming visitors to South East Artists (SEAS) Open Studios.
This year I am excited to join a group of SEAS artists exhibiting their work at the Deal Angling Club hall, 13 The Marina, Deal CT14 6RU. We will be open for two weekends: 2nd-3rd and 8th-9th July. Entry to all open studios locations on the art trail is free, and most are open from 10am to 5pm Saturdays and Sundays. This summer SEAS are promoting two group venues in Deal at the Astor Community Theatre and Deal Angling Club, whilst a number of individual locations are also hosting guest artists. A full list of participating artists can be found here:
and a pdf copy of the guide booklet can also be downloaded from the page.
I will be showing a range of new small scale works, including 6×4 inch collages, 10×8 inch prints, digital editions and mixed media print montages. Please drop by and say hello at some point during the event.
